jajfutb is an editorial project. It lists hotels in four categories — art, capsule, casino and ice — and describes each one in a few honest paragraphs.
Why these four
Each category is a different answer to the question of what a hotel can be. One puts craft first. One shrinks the room to the essentials. One pairs a full-service hotel with a gaming floor. One melts every spring.
How entries are chosen
We pick hotels with a clear character and write about what that character means for a guest. Hotels do not pay to appear, and we do not take bookings or commissions.
What we leave out
You will not find star ratings, scores or reviews here. Prices, room types and opening dates change, so we avoid them. Always confirm the details with the hotel itself.
